How to use?

Preparation of your candle:

Choose a suitable container.
The vessel should be at least 8 cm wide to prevent the wax from sticking to the sides. That way you won't have to clean the vessel afterward and your candle will always look new and beautiful.

Pour Candle Beads into your container.

Insert the wick leaving out a 5mm to 6mm end.
A wick can burn for 10-12 hours.
Light the candle and enjoy!

Factors that can affect the burn time of your wick:

  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Movement of the air
  • Amount of oxygen in the air

Extinguishing the candle:

  • We recommend using a candle snuffer or covering the container with a non-flammable lid as blowing the flame out might also blow the beads out of the container.

Refreshing your candle:

  • If you wish to relight the candle, first check the length of the remaining wick by simply lifting the set wax out of the beads.
  • If there is no more wick left or you wish to refresh the candle's appearance, throw the set wax out, refill the vessel with the preferred amount of beads, insert a new wick, and light.
  • If there is enough wick left, you can simply re-insert the set wax into the beads and light the candle.

Adding essential oil or fragrance oils:

  • Essential oils can be added to the liquid part of the wax.
  • Wait until there is enough liquid wax around the wick.
  • Blow out the flame, add the desired amount of essential oil or fragrance oil, and relight.
  • Candle Beads has a medium to mild sent throw.

Glass vases are recommended, but it's possible to use other containers safely as long as they're big enough. The vessel should be at least 8 cm wide to prevent the wax from sticking to the sides. That way you won't have to clean the vessel afterward and your candle

Currently, all our candle beads are unscented. However, you can add your own essential oils or candle fragrance oils to the beads to give them a scent. Please do so at your own risk and comfort level, keeping in mind oils are very flammable and should never be added to a burning candle.

Please do so at your own risk and comfort level, keeping in mind oils are very flammable and should never be added to a burning candle.

Here's a simple method to do it:

    1) Light the wick and let it burn for about 5 minutes until a melt pool forms.

    2) Blow out the wick and add a few drops of your favourite scent into the melt pool.

    3) Relight the wick.

This way, the scent stays in the melt pool and won't affect the rest of the beads. Start with a few drops and
increase as needed. Candle Beads has a mild scent throw in a small room. It is the user’s responsibility for all modifications made to the candles such as colours and scents.

Candle beads come in various sizes, including 400g, 1kg, and 5kg options. For more detailed information and purchasing options, please visit the iCandles SA Candle Beads collection.

Each wick (7cm) lasts around 14 to 20 hours, and you get 10 wicks with every 400g candle, 40 wicks with every 2.5Kg tub, and 100 wicks (15cm) with every Bulk Bag.

Yes, our beads are plant-based, clean-burning, and pet-friendly. We still recommend keeping them out of reach of pets and children, since they’re technically not edible and burn with real fire, but you'll be glad to know the beads are non-toxic and not expected to be
harmful if a small amount is ingested. You can also take comfort knowing that candle beads self-extinguish if accidentally spilled as the beads smother the flame.

Yes, the candle beads can be reused after burning. Once the wax has cooled and hardened, the hardened wax can be removed. You can add a new wick and continue to use the remaining beads. This allows for minimal waste and extended use of your candle beads.
